Due to the nutrient content, fodders are an important part in animal feed and a main product in the ruminant diets. Alfalfa is the most extended one.

Dried alfalfa is subjected to a drying industrial process to keep all the nutritional values and ensure a longer shelf-life. Due to the amount of high quality proteins and fibre, dried alfalfa is especially suitable for ruminant cattle for milk production.
